The founder of the Russian Volunteer Corps and his fighters were sentenced to life in absentia in Russia.


In the case regarding the raid in the Bryansk region, the Moscow military court sentenced five members of the 'Russian Volunteer Corps' to life imprisonment. This was reported by Mediazona.
The verdict was issued against the founder of the RDK, Denis Kapustin, and the unit's fighters - actor Kirill Kanahin, known for his role in the series 'Gluhar', Alexander Galanov, Anton Ziryakov, and Alexei Ogurtsov. Additionally, the court imposed fines: 2.5 million rubles for Kapustin and 2 million rubles each for Galanov and Kanahin.
All defendants faced charges on more than 10 articles of the Criminal Code, including organizing an illegal armed formation, a terrorist act, preparing for terrorism, illegal border crossing, and robbery.
According to the investigation, RDK fighters illegally crossed the Russian border as part of a Ukrainian sabotage group armed with weapons and explosives and entered two villages in the Bryansk region. They were accused of setting fire to a house, damaging several infrastructure facilities, and mining the territory, leading to the injury of a Rosgvardiya officer.
Earlier, the Basmanny District Court in Moscow arrested the judge of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Haikel Ben Mahfoud.
