A new honorary consulate of Ukraine has opened in Turkey.


A new honorary consulate of Ukraine has been opened in the city of Adana. The new representation is headed by businessman Omer Sakarya, who supports Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar.
Omer Sakarya is known in the region as a public figure and businessman who actively supports Ukraine. He is also working on representing our country in the region and helping to develop interregional cooperation.
Adana is a large industrial center in Turkey with a significant Ukrainian community. The work of the new honorary consulate will be aimed at protecting the rights of Ukrainians, developing cooperation, and business connections.
In early October, Ukraine also opened an embassy in Oman, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with the President of Turkey to discuss cooperation between the countries, particularly in the defense sector.
