In Khmelnytskyi, the worship service with Metropolitan Onufriy has been canceled following a protest by local residents near the St. Nicholas Cathedral. The press service of the Khmelnytskyi Diocese of the UOC MP reported this.
The diocese's statement mentions that in order to maintain peace and avoid conflicts among the city's residents, the consecration of the cathedral will not take place. Everyone was called to mutual respect and understanding.

Incidentally, on May 21, a mass rally took place in Khmelnytskyi, where more than 100 people gathered, including veterans, servicemen, and relatives of fallen soldiers.
