Ministry of Culture will stop issuing permits for artists to travel abroad.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy will stop issuing letters of support to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for artists and media workers to travel outside Ukraine starting March 3. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing the agency.
The Ministry of Culture plans to change the rules for artists and media workers traveling abroad during martial law to prevent abuses. Men of conscription age who have received permission for temporary departure abroad with a letter of support from the Ministry of Culture do not always return to Ukraine on Time due to the lack of clear rules in the legislation.
'The ministry initiated changes in 2022 to minimize illegal departures abroad during martial law. But this issue remains unresolved,' the agency stated.
The ministry has developed a draft amendment to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution 'On the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine' dated January 27, 1995, which is currently in the approval stage. This draft regulates the conditions for obtaining a letter of support for temporary departure abroad for men of conscription age working in the fields of culture, information security, strategic communications, and media.
'Starting from March 3, 2025, and until the adoption of regulatory changes, the Ministry of Culture will stop issuing letters of support to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for the departure of this category of individuals abroad,' the Ministry added.
The Ministry of Culture refused the Lviv band '1914' permission to travel abroad. The band was going abroad for charity concerts under the Ministry's permit and always returned on time.
Earlier, it was known that Nazva group member Pavlo Hots joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
