The White House responded to the call to return the Statue of Liberty.

The White House responded to the call of a French deputy to return the Statue of Liberty. According to the deputy, the USA no longer represents the values that inspired France when creating the statue.
No, that's not the case at all. My advice to this French politician is to remind them that the French are not speaking German thanks to the United States of America. So the French should be grateful to our great country.
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated that President Donald Trump does not plan to return the Statue of Liberty to France.
Recently, a French deputy in the European Parliament called for the USA to return the Statue of Liberty, which was initially gifted by the French people in honor of the centenary of American independence. The deputy claimed that the USA had lost the values that France had when the statue was created.
Return the Statue of Liberty to us, it was our gift to you. But you obviously do not appreciate it. So we would be pleased to have it here with us.
The Statue of Liberty was unveiled in New York on October 28, 1886, in honor of the centenary of the Declaration of Independence of the USA. It was gifted by the French people, and the project was created by Frenchman Auguste Bartholdi.
