The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a column of 300 assault troops and dozens of armored vehicles in the Zaporizhzhia direction.


The Ukrainian army has stopped a massive attack by militants in the Zaporizhzhia direction. This became known from the warriors of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of Transcarpathia.
In the evening of April 16, columns of enemy equipment with infantry appeared at Ukrainian positions. This particularly concerns the sector controlled by the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of Transcarpathia.
The successful defense during the massive attack was the result of effective cooperation among various combat units
Thanks to the use of aerial reconnaissance, drone operators detected enemy columns in advance in the remote area. With the help of artillery, the equipment was destroyed at a distance of eight kilometers from Ukrainian positions. Only a few Russian troops managed to break through the fire curtain and approach within range to hit with a bullet.

As a result of the battle, 29 units of enemy armored vehicles and about 140 assault troops were destroyed. Ukrainian positions were not lost.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian troops fell into an ambush, and there are casualties among the defenders. Russian terrorists also attacked the evacuation mission vehicle 'Prolisok' with FPV drones.
