The Ukrainian Women's Sitting Volleyball Team Won the 'Golden League of Nations' Tournament.


The Ukrainian women's sitting volleyball team showed impressive results at the international tournament 'Golden League of Nations' in Poland. Our girls won against teams from Europe:
- Ukraine - Slovenia - 3:0
- Ukraine - Germany - 3:0
- Ukraine - Netherlands - 3:1
- Ukraine - Italy - 3:2
- Final: Ukraine - Poland - 3:0
Anastasia Vladichynska, Oleksandra Lykkodid, Yaroslav Lakatosh, Lyudmila Hordiichuk (Lozko), Antonina Zhuk, Yelyzaveta Chuga, Lyudmila Sheremet, Anastasia Filon, and Sofia Liashyk formed the winning team. The captain of the Ukrainian team, Oleksandra Lykkodid, was recognized as the most valuable player of the tournament.

This is the first golden victory for the Ukrainian women's sitting volleyball team at the 'Golden League of Nations' tournaments. Earlier in 2021 and 2023, our athletes won silver medals.
Taïssia Onofriychuk - European Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics
The talented 17-year-old Ukrainian, Taïssia Onofriychuk, became the European champion in rhythmic gymnastics in free exercises, where she won a gold medal. This is already her second victory at the European Championship and a proof of the high level of Ukrainian sports in gymnastics.
