Zelensky Held Meetings on Strengthening the Army and Obtaining Military Assistance.

Zelensky Discussed New Military Assistance from the US

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the convening of meetings regarding the strengthening of the army and the acquisition of a new military assistance package from the US amounting to 725 million dollars.

Zelensky emphasized that special attention should be paid to the Donetsk directions and that the supply of weapons needs to be strengthened. He stressed that the stronger the army and the more technological capabilities, the more effectively the Russian offensive potential will be destroyed and the lives of soldiers protected.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine also spoke about new agreements on air defense. According to Zelensky, in December, there are plans to receive air defense systems from several partners, as well as additional supplies in January to strengthen Ukraine's air shield.

The President also addressed the state of the energy system and thanked the repair crews for their quick response to Russian strikes. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the government, the Ministry of Energy, and local authorities.

The additional military assistance package from the US includes missiles for air defense, artillery, and means to strengthen the positions of the Ukrainian army.
