Defending Ukraine on the Donetsk Front. Let's Remember Denys Mysiahyn.


Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were lost due to the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, we will remember Denys Mysiahyn.
Denys Mysiahyn, who died at the front on June 3, 2025, defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine on the Donetsk front under the call sign Smolet. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the Lviv City Council.
Denys Mysiahyn was born on November 8, 1980, in the town of Zmiiv, Kharkiv region. He studied at the Zidiivskyi Lyceum named after H.I. Kovtun and at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 2 of the Zmiiv City Council in Kharkiv region. Later, he studied 'Business Statistics' at the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University.
Heavenly Defender
With the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, Denys began to defend his homeland from the Russian occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine on the Donetsk front as part of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Denys was awarded the 'Golden Cross' badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 'Cross of Territorial Defense' medal.
On June 3, 2025, Denys Mysiahyn, under the call sign Smolet, was killed while defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine on the Donetsk front. The defender was buried on June 7, 2025, at the Lychakiv Cemetery, in the field of Honorable Burials of modern heroes.
He was survived by his wife Hanna, daughters Marta and Mira, mother Ms. Olena, and brother Oleg.
'Hlavkom' joins the moment of silence, honoring the memory of all fallen Ukrainians who gave their lives in the struggle for their homeland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders and as a result of attacks by hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages, lighting candles of memory and honoring their sacrifices.
