The Department of Territorial Control of the city of Kyiv reported that over 230 thousand drivers were fined for improper parking during 2024. This has just been announced.
The parking problem in Ukraine is becoming increasingly relevant. Besides the chaotic arrangement of vehicles causing inconveniences for pedestrians and other road users, it also negatively affects road safety. The city authorities are intensifying control over compliance with parking rules by using traditional monitoring methods and modern technical means to record violations.

As a result of the fines, 74.1 million hryvnias were received in the city budget. However, car owners have been urged to follow traffic rules to avoid similar situations in the future.
It is also worth noting that 61.2 million hryvnias came to the budget of Kyiv from parking fees, which also constitutes a significant portion of the city's revenues.
