US Military Eliminates Record Number of ISIS Terrorists.

During a series of operations in Iraq and Syria, American forces killed 163 militants and captured 33 members of the 'Islamic State' group.
This information was reported by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
Since the beginning of August, over 95 operations named 'Defeat ISIS' have been conducted. During separate operations, actions also took place in Syria. In total, 163 terrorists were killed and 33 captured, including more than 30 ISIS leaders of various levels.
According to military command representatives, 'these successful operations have led to the capture of a significant amount of enemy equipment, which may prove useful in the future. Constant pressure on ISIS leaders prevents them from acting and planning attacks.'
General Michael Eric Kurilla, head of CENTCOM, stated that in collaboration with the coalition and Iraqi partners, 'we will continue to actively hunt these terrorists and disrupt their ability to act against the interests of the US, as well as our allies and partners.'
Despite the defeat of ISIS in 2019, so-called 'sleeper cells' continue to carry out attacks in Iraq and Syria. Recently, the number of such attacks has increased.
American military, together with security forces in Iraq and Syria, regularly conduct strikes and raids to prevent the re-emergence of the terrorist group.
Approximately 900 American military personnel are located in Syria, and about 2,500 in Iraq.
One of the most notable attacks occurred at the end of October when American troops struck camps in the Syrian desert and eliminated several senior leaders of the group, with a total of 35 militants being killed.
