Israel's opening of a second front will lead to unpredictable escalation - Media.

The vast majority of Israelis express a desire to conclude a ceasefire agreement to free the hostages remaining in Gaza.
Many people are also dissatisfied with the government and believe that the prime minister continues the war for personal reasons. As a result of a failed attempt to reach a truce between Israel and Hamas and the growing threat of conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, political problems may arise for Benjamin Netanyahu. However, Mark Champion, a Bloomberg Opinion columnist who follows events in Europe, Russia, and the Middle East, thinks otherwise.
A poll conducted by the Israeli agency Lazar shows that Netanyahu's popularity is increasing, and he is ahead of the opposition leader Benny Gantz in the ratings. Also, according to the Israel Democracy Institute, the majority of people support the expansion of the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
According to the columnist, Israel's opening of a second front could lead to unpredictable escalation, involving Iran, the USA, and other countries, and no side will benefit from such developments. Nevertheless, there is a significant part of the population in Israel that supports the beginning of a confrontation with Iran and its affiliated groups.
