The United Kingdom has called on Russia for a complete ceasefire instead of an 'Easter truce'.

A representative of the UK Foreign Office urges Russia to cease fire in Ukraine completely, not just for one day. This proposal was made by the British ministry representative, Reuters reports.
In April, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an 'Easter truce', which called for a ceasefire in Ukraine from April 19 to 21.
The British foreign ministry representative emphasizes that Ukraine has already committed to ceasefire and called on the Kremlin to do the same.
'This is a moment for Putin to show that he is serious about peace by ceasing his aggression,' the diplomat noted.
The European Commission also noted that Russia could immediately end the war if it had a genuine desire to do so.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that almost immediately after the announcement of the 'truce', air alarms began in Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reminded that Kyiv agreed to an unconditional ceasefire even before Putin's statement about the 'Easter truce'.
