Pork prices in Ukraine are rising
However, with the onset of warm May days and the opening of the picnic season, pork prices in Ukraine have jumped. According to data from the Minfin portal, pork remains popular because of its juicy taste and richness. Ukrainians prefer pork not only for its flavor qualities but also for its availability compared to other types of meat.
According to monitoring of the largest retail chains in the country, the following average prices for major cuts of pork were observed in May of this year:
- Pork belly – 211 hryvnias per kilogram
- Pork shoulder – 225 hryvnias per kilogram
- Pork neck – 330 hryvnias per kilogram
- Pork ribs – 211.50 hryvnias per kilogram
- Shashlik – 274 hryvnias per kilogram
In May, pork prices in Ukraine increased, but this does not prevent Ukrainians from continuing to prefer this type of meat due to its taste qualities and availability.
