The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reports that Ukraine has successfully tested the compatibility of its electronic documents with prototypes of European digital wallets. This is an important step for our country in joining the unified digital space of the European Union.
Ukrainian developers tested the interaction of electronic documents in the 'Dія' application with mobile apps from European Union countries for the first Time. Ukraine has become the only state among 20 participating countries in the Potential project that is not yet a member of the EU.

The launch of the European Digital Identity Wallet is planned for 2026
Ukraine plans to complete the launch of the European Digital Identity Wallet by the end of 2026. This will allow Ukrainians to use digital documents abroad, and Europeans to use their documents in Ukraine.
The new digital wallet will provide a wide range of features
This new digital wallet will have a wide range of applications, from registering SIM cards to opening bank accounts abroad.
The project is being implemented with the support of the European Union as part of the DT4UA initiative, which is implemented by the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance. Ukraine's participation in the pilot project POTENTIAL, jointly managed by France and Germany, is also co-financed by the EU.
Ukraine is already recognized as one of the leaders in Europe in terms of data openness according to the Open Data Maturity ranking.
