In Ukraine, a significant increase in the dollar exchange rate is forecasted: what analysts say.

According to forecasts by Ukrainian financial analysts and bankers, the dollar exchange rate will continue to rise and may reach 45 hryvnias over the next year, according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to a survey of specialists conducted in January, the forecasts for the dollar exchange rate have deteriorated. While in December a rate of 44.83 UAH/USD was predicted, in January the forecast rose to 45.19 UAH/USD. Bankers turned out to be even more pessimistic, predicting a rate of 45.31 hryvnias.
The population of Ukraine has also changed its forecasts regarding the exchange rate. In January, ordinary citizens predict a rate of 44.53 UAH/USD, while business leaders expect a rate of 44.42 UAH/USD.
For 2024, the official dollar rate increased by 10.7% and reached a mark of 42.03 hryvnias. At the beginning of 2025, the rate continued to rise and reached a maximum of 42.28 hryvnias. The average selling rate of cash dollars for 2024 rose by 11.2% and was 42.07 hryvnias.
The state budget for 2025 includes an average rate of 45 UAH/USD, but the National Bank of Ukraine emphasizes that this is not a benchmark or forecast for the regulator responsible for monetary and exchange rate policy.
