Usyk recognized as the best boxer of the year by WBC.


The World Boxing Council has announced that Oleksandr Usyk has been named the best boxer of 2024 by this organization. This news was announced by the World Boxing Council on its Instagram page.
'Usyk achieved absolute championship in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions after defeating Tyson Fury in a truly epic battle. In December of last year, Usyk successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title, solidifying his position as a leader. These accomplishments affirm his status as one of the greatest boxers in the world' - said representatives of the WBC.
Oleksandr Usyk is currently 37 years old. From 2018 to 2019, he was the absolute world champion in the junior heavyweight category, where the boxer’s weight does not exceed 90.7 kg.
