Ukraine Faces Missile Shortage for Air Defense: Why the Trump Administration is Slow to Supply New Deliveries.

Ukraine has a problem with the supply of missiles for the Patriot systems
Ukraine is facing an emergency situation due to the depletion of missile stocks for the Patriot air defense systems, which were provided during Joe Biden's presidency. The Trump administration is slow to address the issue of new supplies.
The need for missiles to defend against ballistic missiles has become very important on Memorial Day in the US. Without the necessary number of Patriot missiles, Ukrainian defense was unable to intercept even one of the nine missiles launched by Russian forces, two of which were even aimed at Kyiv.
No country also wants to give up its Patriot systems
The Trump administration is considering selling Patriot systems instead of providing them as a grant. However, limited production capabilities complicate the search for a solution. Efforts to find systems for Ukraine are ongoing, but there are still no concrete results.
The US Secretary of Defense plans to visit NATO headquarters where new commitments regarding Patriot systems for Ukraine may be announced. However, it is likely that these commitments may not come from the United States.
Officials believe that the Trump administration will avoid decisions regarding the transfer of Patriot systems as it wishes to avoid conflict with Putin and create favorable conditions for peace negotiations.
