Ukraine returned the bodies of nearly a thousand fallen soldiers.

Ukraine successfully returned the bodies of 909 fallen servicemen. This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
The bodies of the fallen were returned from various combat directions, including Kurakhiv, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia. Some of them were returned from morgues in Russia.
This success was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of various Ukrainian structures, including the Coordination Headquarters, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Authorized Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that in February 2025, Ukraine managed to return the bodies of over 750 fallen servicemen. In November 2024, a large-scale operation was conducted to return the bodies of 502 soldiers from the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. And in October 2024, about fifty bodies of fallen servicemen were returned.
