Ukraine is preparing for the next heating season by increasing its internal energy generation. According to the Ministry of Energy, electricity restrictions for the population have been lifted, and for businesses, they have been reduced to a minimum. Restoration schedules for energy infrastructure damaged by hostile attacks have also been approved. According to the Ministry of Energy's plans, about 1 GW of new energy generating capacities are expected to be put into operation by 2025. However, currently only 170 MW of this plan is operational. A total of 1.5 GW of capacity has been restored after the attacks.Quote: "It is very important to ensure constant support from the international community. Our emergency energy assistance is provided through a special center. Thanks to this, we have received 1761 humanitarian cargo weighing 22.6 thousand tons from 38 countries. 146 companies from the energy sector have received assistance. Approximately 1.2 billion euros have been raised from donors in the Energy Support Fund" - explained Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine.Denys Shmyhal emphasized the importance of ensuring international support in the energy sector. According to him, thanks to the work of the emergency assistance center, Ukraine received 1761 humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 22.6 thousand tons from 38 countries. Assistance has been provided to 146 companies in the energy sector. In addition, about 1.2 billion euros of donor funds have been raised in the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.The meeting discussed the difficult situation in cities that are particularly actively attacked by Russia, such as Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, and Dnipro. The Prime Minister instructed to hold a meeting of the committee on Technogenic-Ecological Safety and Emergency Situations regarding the preparation for the next heating season in these regions and to consider the possibility of rapid restoration of heating supply infrastructure.In addition, responsible ministries and agencies have been tasked with developing a detailed plan for preparing for the heating season in the housing and communal sector by May 15."We are preparing for the next autumn-winter period, so that there is light and heat in every home," - emphasized Denys Shmyhal.We remind you that the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, confirmed that an agreement with the United States on rare earth metals could be concluded within a day.
