Trump has published secret documents about the Kennedy assassination
The administration of Donald Trump has released secret documents about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, fulfilling the president's promise of maximum government transparency. According to National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, these files have been published without redactions and encompass about 80,000 pages of documents. It is also reported that other documents that are under judicial seal or classified will also be declassified. The total number of documents regarding the assassination consists of six million pages of records, photographs, films, sound recordings, and artifacts. Previously, Trump announced the release of these documents during his visit to the Kennedy Center.
The president kept his promise to publish the documents after signing a decree in January of this year, which stipulates that public interest outweighs any potential harm that the release of these documents may cause to defense, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies. Earlier, the Central Intelligence Agency had asked Trump to delay the release of the documents, but the president has only done it now, keeping his promise.
