A plane with 181 people on board crashed during landing in South Korea.


An accident involving a Jeju Air passenger plane occurred at Muan International Airport in the southwest of South Korea during landing. The aircraft veered off the runway, collided with a fence, and caught fire. 28 people died. There were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board. The plane sustained significant damage.
The cause of the accident remains unknown. Rescue and investigation efforts are ongoing. According to the airport, the aircraft was experiencing navigation failure during the emergency landing.
It is also worth mentioning that earlier at Aktau Airport, an Embraer plane en route from Baku to Grozny crashed. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board. According to Rosaviation, the accident occurred due to a bird strike and poor altitude maintenance at 500 meters. However, according to the head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation, the crash was caused by a Russian anti-aircraft missile system, and all events related to this were attempted to be silenced.
