A man from Lviv region died in the Carpathians.


Body found in the Carpathians
In the Carpathian mountains, the body of a deceased man from Lviv region was found. Rescuers along with police delivered him from Mount Pip Ivan. This information was disclosed by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The leader of the tourist group informed the search and rescue post 'Pip Ivan' that he found the body of a man with no signs of life near the mountain's summit. Rescuers quickly arrived at the location and confirmed this information, after which they jointly with the police took necessary actions.
On May 22, after conducting all necessary investigative actions, rescuers from Verkhovyna together with law enforcement transported the body of the deceased from the hard-to-reach area to the nearest settlement.
It turned out that the deceased was a man from the Lviv region, born in 1991. Law enforcement is currently establishing all the circumstances of this event.
Tragedy on Mount Second Zhandarm
Another tragedy occurred on the slopes of Mount Second Zhandarm in the Svidovec massif, where a man from Kyiv died. The leader of the tourist group requested assistance from rescuers when it became known that a tourist from Kyiv fell from a snow cornice due to poor visibility and fog. The injuries sustained were fatal.
Due to icy slopes, other group members could not reach the deceased tourist by themselves and were waiting for the rescuers to arrive.
This news indicates the danger that mountains can conceal and the importance of adhering to rules and caution during travels in mountainous areas.
