A cable car in the Italian mountains has collapsed: four dead.


In Italy, in the area of Mount Faito, a tragedy occurred due to the cable car's cable snapping. Due to strong winds of 70-80 km/h, 4 people died, and another person is in critical condition. Both cabins were evacuated, but the cabin at the top collided with a support. This cable car is an important tourist attraction in the region. The Torre Annunziata prosecutor's office will conduct an investigation into this incident. It is worth noting that a similar accident occurred earlier, in 1960, in which 4 people died.
Sadly, the tragedy happened due to the cable snapping of the cable car in Italy. High winds led to the accident, resulting in 4 deaths. One person sustained serious injuries. Both cabins were evacuated, but the cabin that was at the top collided with one of the supports. This happened in the area of Mount Faito, which is a popular tourist site. Investigations are currently underway to clarify all the circumstances of the accident.
