A plane with 15 passengers on board crashed into the water after takeoff on Roatan Island in Honduras.
Six people have died, more are being arrested, and the search continues. This was reported with reference to Reuters.
The head of the fire service in Roatan stated that eight passengers are likely still in the plane. It is reported that the plane crashed into the water immediately after takeoff.
The Jetstream aircraft was owned by the Honduran carrier Lanhsa and was carrying 18 passengers, including three crew members.
According to the flight manifest published by the media, among the passengers were a U.S. citizen, a French citizen, and two minors.
The plane was supposed to fly to La Ceiba Airport on the mainland of Honduras.
China's People's Liberation Army fighter jet crashes in Hainan province
A People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) fighter jet crashed during training exercises in Hainan province. This was reported with reference to The Epoch Times.
It is noted that the fighter pilot managed to eject with a parachute, and the plane almost vertically hit the ground and exploded.
We also reported that at Denver International Airport, a passenger plane from American Airlines caught fire during landing on March 13. More than 175 passengers and crew members were evacuated as a result of the incident.
Earlier in the United States on March 9, a crash occurred in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A small plane with five passengers on board crashed in a parking lot near a nursing home.
