Special representative Kellogg will arrive in Kyiv on a mission from Trump - Media.

The future special representative of newly elected President Donald Trump on Ukraine will visit Kyiv and other European capitals in early January.
According to Reuters, this is part of the new administration's efforts to quickly conclude the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Agency sources reported that Kit Kellogg does not plan to visit Moscow during this trip. Instead, he will meet with senior officials in Kyiv, and his team is working to organize meetings with leaders in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris.
The meetings are expected to focus on gathering information for the future Trump administration rather than active negotiations. However, the planned trip, which is set to begin immediately after the New Year, demonstrates the urgency the elected president attaches to the issue of ending the war in Ukraine.
Trump's allies and advisors have proposed several plans to end the war in Ukraine, all of which involve Ukraine conceding significant territories to Russia for an indefinite period.
This year, Kellogg sent Trump a proposal that suggests freezing front lines and abandoning NATO membership for Ukraine in the near future. However, he also noted that his proposal is a starting point and the future Trump administration is still working on a final plan.
