This aromatic corn porridge is a true classic breakfast that few prepare nowadays. However, perhaps this recipe will bring you the comfort and satisfaction that is hard to find in other breakfasts. It is simple to make and well-known to those who care about their health.

You will need:
- corn grits - 400 g;
- water - 800 ml;
- butter - 25 g;
- salt - 1 tsp (not heaped);
- sugar - 1-2 tbsp;
- milk (warm) - 800 ml.
Cooking method
Rinse the corn grits several times in cold water. In a pot, bring the water to a boil, add the butter, salt, and sugar. Add the grits, stir, and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the liquid is absorbed.
Pour in the warm milk, stir well until smooth, and cook until thickened, continuing to stir.
Remove from heat, cover with a lid and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Serve with additional butter, berries, or jam to your taste.
