How many Ukrainian refugees remain in Israel. The figure is named.

As a result of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, about 12-13 thousand Ukrainians remained, who have relatives or close friends in Israel. This was reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk in an interview with "Glavkom".
According to him, Ukrainians are being extended tourist visas, given the right to work and paid for health insurance for the elderly by the state.
"For Israel, this is not a small number," the diplomat emphasized.
Korniychuk noted that the search is currently underway for a status that will allow Ukrainians to obtain a non-deportation visa in their passport. He believes that this is precisely why many people have left for Europe, as a better status is provided there.
A Much More Open Israel
Recall that Israel has become much more open to cooperation with Ukraine. Ukrainian refugees are provided with unprecedented assistance, in particular, tourist visas are being extended and the right to work is being granted. According to the ambassador, the number of Ukrainian refugees in Israel has slightly decreased recently.
Also, at the beginning of the year, Israel decided to expand assistance for Ukrainian refugees.
By the way, in January, the security services of Israel and Egypt refused to grant permission for the evacuation of 29 Ukrainian citizens who were submitted in the embassy lists. Yevhen Korniychuk explained that the reasons for such a refusal evidently lie in "certain security issues regarding these individuals".
