Russian occupiers continue to try to break through Ukraine's defense line in the Bakhmut direction, reported Nikolai Zin'ko, commander of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade's fire support company.
"In the Bakhmut direction, as well as on the entire front, we have a tense situation. We stand on the same lines as we did a month and two months ago. We have no collapse or retreat. Currently, we manage to hold and effectively destroy a large number of enemies and equipment. The outlook for the near future is the same as now. The enemy does not change tactics, continues to move in small groups to seep between our positions. Fortunately, we detect and destroy them all," said Zin'ko.
According to Zin'ko, the occupiers have started to use less armored vehicles such as tanks or BMPs, as pedestrian groups have a better chance of reaching Ukraine's positions and being maneuverable.
However, the enemy uses the tactic of small assault groups. As Zin'ko noted, both Ukraine and Russia are working on new tactics to increase maneuverability, but this may change in a few weeks or a month and a half when the Donbas marshes complicate the movement of equipment.
