RF launched a massive attack with guided bombs on Zaporizhzhia: dozens of destroyed houses and casualties.


On the night of September 29, 2024, the city of Zaporizhzhia was subjected to a massive attack by Russian forces using guided aerial bombs (KAB). This was reported by "Khvylya".
According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service of the Zaporizhzhia Region, the attack was directed at residential areas of the city. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, stated: "More than 10 apartment buildings and over 10 private buildings were damaged. As a result of the morning attack, residential buildings and social infrastructure facilities in the Shevchenko, Alexandrovsky, and Kommunar districts of the city were damaged. One non-residential building and an educational institution were also destroyed".
According to the State Emergency Service, from 5:25 to 6:00 in the morning, the enemy launched a wave of aerial strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Currently, it is known that at least one apartment building was destroyed, and people may be trapped under the rubble. Six private houses in different parts of the city were also damaged.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reports 6 casualties, two of whom are in critical condition and have been taken to hospitals. Additionally, several fires broke out in the city due to shelling. The attack also affected the schedule of Ukrzaliznytsia trains at Zaporizhzhia stations.
Rescue services, utility companies, police, bomb technicians, volunteers, and other specialized city services are working at the strike sites. Search and rescue operations are underway. Local authorities state that they will provide assistance to the victims through social services and with the support of international donors.
During the day, Russian occupiers also intensively attacked the Zaporizhzhia region, carrying out 345 strikes on nine settlements. Aerial strikes were made on Kamianske, Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka. Drones attacked Bilenke, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. Rocket artillery and conventional artillery shelled Huliaipole, Novodanilivka, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. As a result of the attacks, 19 cases of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities in these settlements were recorded.
Experts warned that the Russian Federation has additionally established the production of guided aerial bombs, so an increase in strikes on the civilian population of Ukraine is expected.
