A draft law to increase support for the birth of a child has been registered in the Ukrainian Parliament. According to this project, payments will depend on the subsistence minimum for children up to six years old.
In addition, it is proposed to increase the one-Time payment to 25 subsistence minimums and evenly distribute the rest of the support over three years.
Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of Parliament, noted that families with children currently receive a one-time support of 41,280 hryvnia and a monthly payment of 860 hryvnia, but these amounts are not adjusted.
The decision to increase support for the birth of a child has outraged judges who are demanding an increase in pensions.
