The US Embassy in Kyiv received information about a possible large-scale air attack that could occur 'at any moment in the next few days,' according to a warning from the diplomatic mission.

Diplomats urged American citizens to identify shelter locations in advance, download reliable air raid alert apps such as 'Air Raid Siren' or 'Alarm Map,' and to have supplies of water, food, and medication.

The Embassy emphasized the importance of being prepared to find shelter immediately in case of an air raid alert.

Diplomatic negotiations for a ceasefire

In light of the warning of a possible attack, intensive diplomatic efforts are underway to implement a temporary ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. It has been stated that a 30-day ceasefire on the front line was considered.

Together with European partners, a ceasefire proposal is being developed, and if it is rejected by Russia, new sanctions will be imposed. US President Donald Trump and Ukraine support the idea of an unconditional ceasefire.

Russia has announced only a three-day ceasefire from May 8-10, which has caused irritation and doubts about the seriousness of their position.

Expected meeting in Kyiv

Tomorrow in Kyiv, a meeting of Ukraine's allies will take place, where the details of the American-European ceasefire proposal will be discussed with the participation of French President Emmanuel Macron and Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
