Analysis
Ukraine is facing a serious terminal failure that leads to problems with payments and card top-ups. Users cannot pay with cards in stores and metro, and Apple/Google Pay are not working. Problems also arose in the 'Diia' and 'Nova Poshta' applications. The technical failure at metro terminals temporarily hinders contactless payment for travel at turnstiles. Specialists are already addressing these issues. For payment of travel, one can use a transport card, a QR code generated in the 'Kyiv Digital' application, or a paper QR ticket.
Such technical failures are serious problems that can harm the country's economy. More attention is needed to infrastructure, ensuring the reliability of technical systems to prevent similar situations in the future and avoid losses and customer dissatisfaction.
