How much do apples, cabbage, and carrots cost in stores in July

According to the Ministry of Finance, the average price for carrots in July 2025 ranges from 24.6 to 37.5 hryvnias per kilogram. The cost of cabbage averages 99.3 hryvnias per kilogram. Apples can be purchased for prices ranging from 74.7 to 95.3 hryvnias per kilogram.

Fruit prices — what to expect next

Expert Illya Neskhodovskyi from the analytical direction of the National Interests Protection Network 'ANTS' believes that the peak prices for fruits in Ukraine have already passed. In July, a gradual decrease in prices for this category of products can be expected. However, a significant drop in cost is not anticipated. The price increases were influenced by rising energy prices, currency fluctuations, and crop failure due to weather conditions. This led to an abundance of imported fruits in the market, which are traditionally more expensive than Ukrainian ones.

The expert emphasized that the situation with prices will improve, but a significant decrease is not expected. Spring frosts negatively affected the cost of agricultural products, worsening the harvest, particularly of stone fruits.

In June 2025, there was an increase in food prices in Ukraine, particularly for fruits and vegetables. Apples, cabbage, and carrots saw the largest price increases. Experts predict a gradual decrease in fruit prices, but a significant drop is not expected due to poor weather and other negative factors. Analysts recommend being prepared for increased prices of Ukrainian fruits due to rising agricultural product costs.
