Fuel prices dropped significantly in April: drivers given price forecast for May.

Fuel prices in Ukraine decreased in April 2025
In April 2025, fuel prices in Ukraine noticeably decreased due to falling global oil prices. According to a study by 'NaftoRynok', prices for European Brent oil fell by 15% of their value, while North American WTI oil lost 16%. Experts indicate that such a significant regular decline has not been observed since November 2021.
On the wholesale market in Ukraine, prices for diesel fuel decreased by 4.1%, while liquefied gas fell by 3.55%. However, the price of gasoline A-95 slightly increased. In the retail segment, a decrease in prices for all types of fuel was also noted.
Temporary discounts on fuel for Easter
It is worth noting that for Easter, most large gas station chains implemented temporary discounts on fuel. Such promotions were offered by both national and regional market operators.
Some chains continued to offer discounts on weekends, which has become a tradition for the Ukrainian fuel market. The competition between state and private gas stations remains very active.
Forecasts for the future
Analysts predict that the trend of decreasing fuel prices at gas stations will continue in May, with a possible drop of 3 to 5 hryvnias per liter. This will help reduce transportation costs for citizens and businesses amid economic difficulties.
Let us remind you that recently a dangerous situation occurred regarding the addition of alcohol to gasoline.
