New Level of Energy - Unique Batteries Being Tested in China.

Anhui Anwa New Energy Technology, a company owned by the automaker Chery, has presented its first batch of solid-state battery samples in China. The batteries provide an energy density of about 181 Wh per pound.
According to the publication Interesting Engineering, Anhui Anwa New Energy Technology has already begun production of second-generation batteries with similar energy density.
New Level of Energy
To increase efficiency and reduce costs, Anwa uses a five-step dry manufacturing process. This method reduces energy consumption by 20% and capital investments by 30%.
Moreover, the company plans to expand its capacities and build an automated production line for solid-state batteries.
Expected Mass Production
The existing model of solid-state batteries provides an energy density of 136 Wh per pound. The new generation promises an energy density of 181 Wh per pound. The company plans to start mass production of new batteries by 2027 with an energy density of 227 watt-hours per pound.
This breakthrough in battery technology could significantly enhance the performance of vehicles and facilitate the transition to cleaner transportation.
Anhui Anwa New Energy Technology has demonstrated its new solid-state battery technology, which could significantly improve vehicle performance in the future. With an energy density of 181 Wh per pound and plans for mass production of batteries with an energy density of 227 Wh per pound, this new technology paves the way for cleaner and more energy-efficient transportation.Read also
