New payments up to 4000 zlotys: Poland expands social support program for Ukrainians with disabilities.

Ukrainians with disabilities who have obtained legal residency status in Poland will now be able to receive more social support. The Polish government has expanded the financial aid program, which provides monthly payments ranging from 600 to 4000 zlotys. This was reported by the Polish Social Insurance Institution.
Adult Ukrainians with disabilities who have the status of a disabled person can receive a monthly social pension of 1588.44 zlotys. A new program called 'Swiadczenie wspierające' has also been introduced, under which the amount of assistance will be determined based on the assessment of an expert commission. The amount of payments will depend on the need for support and can range from 40% to 220% of the social pension.
For families with children with disabilities, separate support programs are provided. The monthly care allowance is 2458 zlotys and is available to caregivers who cannot work due to the need for constant care of the child. This program also applies to children up to 18 years old or up to 25 years old if the disability occurred during schooling.
To receive social assistance, an application must be submitted through electronic services such as PEU ZUS, the government portal, or online banking. You also need a PESEL UKR, a passport, or another identification document, as well as official confirmation of disability status from Polish authorities.
