North Korea ordered its artillery units to be fully prepared near the border and reinforced anti-air defense posts in Pyongyang.
The General Staff of the Korean People's Army of North Korea issued an order on October 12 to the artillery brigades near the border to be in full combat readiness. According to this order, by 20:00 on October 13, eight brigades are to be put on alert.
The General Staff ordered armed forces of all levels to prepare countermeasures in case another South Korean drone "crosses the border".
It is currently unknown whether a conflict between North and South Korea will arise due to these events.
North Korea claims that South Korean drones have penetrated their territory and dropped propaganda leaflets, but this information has not yet been confirmed by Seoul.
