Changes for drivers in the European Union are coming
The European Union is preparing important changes for all drivers. According to new rules, family doctors will have the right to inform the relevant authorities if a patient's health condition poses a threat to road safety.
If problems are identified, the doctor will be obliged to officially inform about this.
The new regulations will also apply to drivers in Poland, but the final decision on the implementation of these changes remains with the country's authorities.
Another important update concerns drivers over 70 years old. They will not have to undergo mandatory medical checks every five years; each EU country will decide on this requirement independently.
Retiree behind the wheel
In addition, the European Union plans to implement digital driving licenses that will be valid throughout the entire territory of the union. For young drivers, new conditions are foreseen: category B can be obtained at 17, but only under the supervision of an experienced driver. Novice drivers will also face an extended probationary period.
Additionally, let's remember that fuel and heating may become significantly cheaper in the EU.
