Foreigners wishing to serve in the Ukrainian military and law enforcement agencies will undergo a psychophysiological examination
According to the Ministry of Defense, the psychophysiological examination using a polygraph will be conducted by the Recruitment Center for Foreigners and Stateless Persons with the involvement of specialists from the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard. The examination will be conducted in a language that the candidate is proficient in.
'The psychophysiological examination using a polygraph will be mandatory for candidates for officer positions and positions with access to state secrets. It will also be undergone by candidates who have provided questionable information about themselves. Active foreign military personnel may undergo such a check at the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine or the command of the unit. Candidates must give written consent to undergo the examination and must not have medical contraindications. Refusal may be grounds for rejection from military service,' the agency reported.
The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been given a month to update the relevant regulations after the adoption of the Resolution.
