Erdogan: 'Turkey Fully Supports the Territorial Integrity of Ukraine'
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stated that he fully supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and emphasized the strategic partnership between the two countries. This was expressed during a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in Ankara.
Erdogan also noted that Turkey is ready to provide comprehensive support to achieve sustainable peace through dialogue and negotiations. He described his country as an 'ideal place' for possible negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the USA.
'No one wins from achieving peace,' Erdogan said, adding that the whole world is waiting for a peaceful resolution of the conflict that has led to the death of many innocent people and significant destruction.
In the field of economics, Turkey aims to achieve a bilateral trade volume with Ukraine of 10 billion dollars. Erdogan also confirmed the interest of Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine and ensuring the security of shipping in the Black Sea.
President Zelensky, for his part, during the opening of the new Ukrainian embassy in Ankara, stated that Ukraine will never compromise on its territorial integrity and sovereignty. He expressed hope for receiving security guarantees from the USA, EU, Turkey, and all of Europe.
