Hanna Shevchuk set a Ukrainian record in racewalking.


Within the framework of the Ukrainian championship, which took place in Ivano-Frankivsk, a local athlete broke the women's record by running a distance of 35 km in 2 hours 48 minutes and 4 seconds. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Athletics Federation.
The record was set by track and field athlete Hanna Shevchuk, who is also a silver medalist in the European Team Walking Championship.
The men's champion of Ukraine in racewalking was the athlete from Volyn, Ivan Banzeruk, who covered the distance in 2 hours 32 minutes and 09 seconds.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian Olympic champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh has been nominated for the title of the best track and field athlete of 2024 according to World Athletics. Anyone can vote on social media.
Currently, the 23-year-old Mahuchikh is an Olympic champion and plans to participate in several more Olympic Games.
