Eurovision-2025. New competition rules announced.


The organization of the Eurovision-2025 music competition has announced new rules, according to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The competition, which is now in its 69th year, will take place in the Swedish city of Basel according to updated requirements. Participants and media representatives now must adhere to the Code of Conduct, and violators will not receive accreditation.
Particular attention will be paid to compliance with local laws and the prohibition of political statements. Specific rules have been established regarding responsible communication and behavior.
Organizers will create special zones for the comfort of participants, which will not be under the scrutiny of cameras and press. In these zones, artists will be able to concentrate on preparing for performances. Additionally, the number of closed rehearsals will increase, and the schedule will be optimized to give contestants more Time for rest and exploring the host city.
Among the innovations is the appointment of a welfare manager who will ensure effective communication between artists and staff.
It is important to note that Ukraine will participate in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place in Switzerland.
Furthermore, Cyprus has announced the name of the artist who will represent the country at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Singer Theo Evan has become the first announced participant of the contest.
