In addition, the buildings of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Europe, and the city halls of several French cities were illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Hostomel and Moschun thwarted Russia's plans for a quick capture of Kyiv. He noted that the way to Kyiv was halted due to the activities of the National Guard and the ongoing struggle in Hostomel. Additionally, Moschun was also a critical point that the enemies needed to pass to get closer to the capital.
Speaking about Russia's plans, Budanov noted that he had anticipated the routes of the offensive and the sequence of actions of the enemy three months before the invasion began.
