Visit of European Leaders to Kyiv
On Saturday, May 10, French President Emmanuel Macron, new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Kyiv. This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
The European leaders were welcomed at the train station in Kyiv by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga.
Expectations of Important Decisions
'We await important decisions. We expect further cementing of European solidarity in support of Ukraine,' said the head of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
'It is noted that on the eve of the meeting, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine will welcome the leaders of countries that previously expressed their willingness to join the military mission to implement the peace plan (known as the 'coalition of the willing').'
'It is worth noting that Xi Jinping called for a 'fair' peace agreement regarding Ukraine during his visit to Moscow.'
The arrival of European leaders in Ukraine has aroused significant interest from the public and political analysts, who expect important statements and decisions from them in the context of supporting Ukraine amidst the current geopolitical conflict.
